On this page you will find out which preliminary examination you should have before undergoing treatment with the GreenLight laser system. This will ensure that your doctor is informed about the state of your health and can advise you accordingly and talk with you about the anaesthesia and treatment. Only after the results of the preliminary examination are positive with regard to a GreenLight laser therapy can Prolasys® set an appointment for a preliminary consultation and treatment. After a prolonged discussion at the clinic with Dr. Schmidt, a final treatment plan will be arranged.
On the day of the procedure you should arrive at the clinic with an empty stomach. You will be welcomed and we will help you take care of the registration formalities. Then you will be shown to your room, where you will spend the night. On the morning after the treatment, Dr. Schmidt will conduct the follow-up examination, and after a final discussion, release you from the clinic. You will be handed instructions that will help you in the first days of convalescence - which medications you are to take and when, and activity do's and don'ts.
